"SGI never looks in the mirror" -- SGI member Linda Welker

I imagine SGI had to quickly disclaim this newsgroup [arbn] and expose
the "slander" taking place here, to continue the "authority" which exists
in my area at least.

All district and up meetings require written schedules, complete with
members experiences pre-reviewed by leaders prior to presentation.
Material may be discussed which is from outside SGI publications but a
great deal of effort goes into shutting the mouths of anyone asking
questions about leadership and what a couple of us call "the black hole
in Santa Monica".

The recent reorganization still leaves in place local leaders who are
illiterate in English trying to convince us that our practice is
"shallow" because they are incapable of comprehending the English
communication of our practice.

If this newsgroup is called slanderous quickly enough and often enough,
it becomes slanderous. The problem with their reaction, is that they
have referred to or thought of so many of us American members as
slanderers and/or shallow, "they" (the editorial writers) appear to be
the ones blowing smoke. Many more seeking minds will find a.r.b.n. as
a result of that editorial. So, "World Tribune", thank you so much!!
I can't tell you the last time I saw a leader follow Daisaku Ikeda's
guidance. I'm getting the picture recently. They don't follow it
because they might just know "HE" doesn't follow it.

There really is no need to attack the SGI constantly, however. The law
of cause and effect will take care of the problem. SGI points fingers
at NST, at its own members, at certain leaders, at this newsgroup, BUT
SGI never looks in the mirror.

Peace and happiness to each of you.

NAM[U] MYOHO RENGE KYO.

  2. Hi Greg. The heyday of the google group a.r.b.n. [alternate religion buddhism nichiren] was between 1995 and 1999. It was started by a Kempon Hokke member Susan Starr who also prophetically and ironically gave it the name Nichiren Believer's Unite!.There were some days where many dozens of posters made up to 1000 comments and for years, it averaged more than 300 comments per day. It started to die around 2000 and by around 2003 it was for all intents and purposes dead although a few people continued to post every now and then and one SGI troll still spams the group with a barrage of his same old long winded, tired and tiraded arguments every month or so. He calls himself Chas. I used to know his name but see no reason to dig it up again. He is from Northern California.
