Some Nichiren groups incorporate popular superstitions and fortune telling into their activities. This is not found in the teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha, Nichiren, nor in
the Lotus Sutra. Therefore, those sects in which such practices are found are not true Nichiren Buddhist organizations.
