No matter what kind of people we encounter, we must be grateful. When we meet people who are suffering, we must be grateful for the opportunity to give. Whether people are warm or cold, kind or vicious, they are our Bodhisattva training ground. and "with the Dharma, we can achieve all "flawless merits and virtues."
Since Nichiren says, it must indeed be true!
