A passage from the Treasure Tower Chapter reads,
"This sutra is hard to uphold;
if one can uphold it even for a short while
if one can uphold it even for a short while
I will surely rejoice
and so will the other Buddhas.
A person who can do this
wins the admiration of the Buddhas.
This is what is meant by valor,
this is what is meant by diligence.
This is what is called observing the precepts
and practicing dhuta"
What is meant by the famous passage, "The purpose of the appearance in this world of Shakyamuni Buddha, the lord of teachings, lies in his behavior as a human being."?
It means that Shakyamuni Buddha's purpose of appearing in this world lies in his behavior in upholding the Lotus Sutra. Something of which, SGI members know nothing.
nice. as deluded as the sgi is, truth looks like a lie. for this they will earn the avichi hell.
