Nichiren on the source of the teachings [no silly, it's not Daisaku Ikeda]

"...but in all cases one honors Shakyamuni Buddha as the source of the teachings and the other Buddhas as merely testifying to their worth. And in the same way, although there are various different schools of Buddhism, they all ought to pay reverence to Shakyamuni."

  1. 1000 words of praise for Daisaku Ikeda and one or two words of praise for Shakyamuni Buddha, is no way to pay reverence to Shakyamuni
    Buddha
