Maxwell...who cares what 11 common mortals say (about Nam and Namu). Here's what Nichiren says:
“And when the two characters for Namu are prefixed to Myoho-renge-kyo, or the Lotus Sutra of the Wonderful Law, we have the formula Namu-myoho-renge-kyo.” -- The Opening of the Eyes
I was wrong. Those lying puke hearted slanderers translated, even here, "Nam-myo-ho-ren-ge-kyo". Nichiren added the two characters of Na-mu to the five characters of Myo-ho-ren-ge-kyo and he gets the seven character Daimoku, Na-mu-myo-ho-ren-ge--kyo. Soka Gakkai added the two characters of Na-mu to the five characters of Myo-ho-ren-ge-kyo and they get a six character Daimoku.
What you say maxwell? Are you going to continue to be an SGI apologist? Are you TSL? Have you chanted Namu myoho renge kyo for any appreciable time? Do you have the Same 1
Yes, I have started Namu...I haven't chanted to a Gohonzon in over 5 years and rolled-up mine a year ago for I felt that was more proper if I wasn't going to use it. So, Namu driving the car, Namu washing dishes....trying to familiarize myself with the breathing, speed and rhythm...it's more difficult
i chant at a moderate pace.....not too slow, not to fast. i like 132 to 138. the sound is like the sound of wood blocks. if it is too loud , one can put a piece of electric tape over the sound hole and lay it face down on carpet or a cloth. what i like about it is that it fells like u are changing along with someone else...it kind of drives it at a nice pace. max , if that appeals to u , leave your address and i will send u one. seriously its helpful. don't worry , i won't send any weird stuff. not my style.
Sorry, i forgot. Please see recent post. What is helping me, Greg sent me an electronic metronome. I can chant Namu Myoho renge kyo comfortably at 44 beats per minute and up to 60 beats/minute fairly comfortably (well pronouncing and hearing the character Mu). I chant gongyo at more than 200 words a minute when im chanting rapidly.
Even SGI didn't have the audacity to change the translation of the above passage.

ReplyDeleteOnly in the topsy turvy Gakkai world does 2+5=6. If not one person in the universe repudiates them, i will.
ReplyDeleteif one would change the "one essential phrase", what else would they change? ......................EVERYTHING !
ReplyDeleteand they have. = very bad karma and very deep delusion.
