SGI teaches that humility towards Gohonzon is bad.
"They might glorify the Gohonzon to the extent they humble themselves" [World Tribune Jan. 24th 2003]. Yet, they are taught to humble themselves before their Sensei and leaders, "humility is at the heart of the mentor-disciple relationship, and it is also the key to developing true confidence."
What does Nichiren say about the General and the Specific? Is there any wonder SGI members fail to attain Buddhaood?
