Why are there still droughts, heat waves, floods, wind storms, landslides, continued radiation effects, and hundreds if not thousands of deaths. What would Nichiren teach about this situation? He would reiterate that one can be letter perfect in reciting the Lotus Sutra but it is much more difficult to practice as the Lotus Sutra and I (Nichiren) teach. The Soka Gakkai, Nichiren Shoshu, Nichiren Shu, Rissho Kosekai, HBS, and Kempon Hokke all chant the daimoku but they fail to practice as the Lotus Sutra teaches. They either manufacture non Nichiren Lotus Sutra Buddhist doctrines, practice interfaith, fail to respect Nichiren, or lack faith in the authentic teachings of Nichiren and the Lotus Sutra.
Then what is the true school of Nichiren Buddhism?
ReplyDeleteThere is no school established by Nichiren. There is the true faith and practice of Nichiren and that is what we should aspire to.
