One must do some digging but one can find some very useful information on the Gakkai. Max Weber, the world famous sociologist, talks about charismatic authority [versus constitutional/scriptural authority or authority based on the Law]. SGI and NST to a greater or lesser extent is based on the former. Nichiren's Lotus Sutra Buddhism is based on the latter.
