Good Causes? Bad Causes? Neither? Both? Can Not Be Determined?
Select the BEST Answer.
1). An SGI Senior Leader has been teaching the Human Revolution at the expense of the Lotus Sutra for 15 years. He has sometimes taught that Nichiren Daishonin is the True Buddha, sometimes that Nam Myoho renge kyo is the True Buddha, and sometimes that Daisaku Ikeda is really the incarnation of Nichiren Daishonn. Since the young man quickly gains tremendous energy, awareness, and perceives for himself propitious circumstances, he believes every word of his SGI senior leaders. He believes it is all due to Daisaku Ikeda and the SGI that he is receiving all these benefits. He reads the Human Revolution and the World Tribune every day on the advice of his senior leaders. He tells all his friends that they have to chant and buy the World Tribune because Daisaku Ikeda and the SGI are so great and the evil priests of the Nichiren Shoshu, Kempon Hokke, and Nichiren Shu will destroy the world and any chance for people to attain Buddhahood. 11) Whose Karma Is It?
ReplyDelete"As recently as a decade ago, golden frogs were easy to spot in the hills around El Valle. The frogs are toxic—it’s been calculated that the poison contained in the skin of just one animal could kill a thousand average-sized mice—hence the vivid color, which makes them stand out against the forest floor. One creek not far from El Valle was nicknamed Thousand Frog Stream. A person walking along it would see so many golden frogs sunning themselves on the banks that, as one herpetologist who made the trip many times put it to me, “it was insane—absolutely insane.”
"Then the frogs around El Valle started to disappear. The problem—it was not yet perceived as a crisis—was first noticed to the west, near Panama’s border with Costa Rica. An American graduate student happened to be studying frogs in the rainforest there. She went back to the States for a while to write her dissertation, and when she returned, she couldn’t find any frogs or, for that matter, amphibians of any kind. She had no idea what was going on, but since she needed frogs for her research, she set up a new study site, farther east. At first the frogs at the new site seemed healthy; then the same thing happened: the amphibians vanished. The blight spread through the rainforest until, in 2002, the frogs in the hills and streams around the town of Santa Fe, about fifty miles west of El Valle, were effectively wiped out. In 2004, little corpses began showing up even closer to El Valle, around the town of El Copé. By this point, a group of biologists, some from Panama, others from the United States, had concluded that the golden frog was in grave danger."*

12) Whose Karma Is It?
ReplyDelete"THE last people to see great auks alive were around a dozen Icelanders who made the trip to Eldey by rowboat. They set out one evening in June 1844, rowed through the night, and reached the island the following morning. With some difficulty, three of the men managed to clamber ashore at the only possible landing spot: a shallow shelf of rock that extends from the island to the northeast. (A fourth man who was supposed to go with them refused to on the grounds that it was too dangerous.) By this point the island’s total auk population, probably never very numerous, appears to have consisted of a single pair of birds and one egg. On catching sight of the humans, the birds tried to run, but they were too slow. Within minutes, the Icelanders had captured the auks and strangled them. The egg, they saw, had been cracked, presumably in the course of the chase, so they left it behind. Two of the men were able to jump back into the boat; the third had to be hauled through the waves with a rope."*

On saying that Dr. Mark, next time someone asks for a Biological explanation for karma, try avoiding quotes from old Sutras and make an effort to keep up ...
ReplyDeleteDear Greg Romero:
Your insults are in vain and your superior wisdom is not enough to grasp my intent for being here ... If you think this is all about me: You'r Wrong! If you think I give a Flying F***K about you and Mark, you are wrong again.
There is more to it than meet the eye ... sorry if you feel I've exploited your blog for the wrong reasons - My reasons. Tough S****T
Think about it Thick Heads! Full Identifiable ID?, Why? Someone want's to be found - correct? By whom? ... My temporary legacy to Melissa And Diana Ramos - SGI Mimosa Gang. Get it you self centered basterds?
...
Pedro, I understand your anger from wanting to protect those you care about. I feel the same way towards the SGI who have mistreated my wife who has been a Sokka Gakkai member for over 50 years. In Japan the majority of patients receiving psychiatric care are suffering from depression are Soka Gakkai members.
DeleteTheir is a crises of faith amongst those who believe in the core doctrines of the faith because the organisation has changed its direction by moving away from it's roots without informing the members of where they are going. This problem is in epidemic proportions throughout the Globe within the SGI, just read some of the experiences that people share on this blog and you'll see what I mean.
Even though I've had a go at you in the past, because your attitude pissed me off, I want you to know that there is more to what's going on than what you realise. Tcare
Thanks Pedro. Your examples demonstrate the complexity of cause of effect. Mine, the simplicity. Everything on a case by case basis.
ReplyDeleteDo you really whant me to tell you the difference between "Your" cause and effect and the C&E operating in Natural Selection?, so be it:
DeleteYour C&E is Moral driven and Human Centered. You will never find such thing operating on a biological level. That Simple.
Your behavior towards C&E resembles the Christian "Gap Scientists".
On the same note: (final remarks)
ReplyDelete1. I'm blogging while you'r asleep; That gives me plenty of time to do whatever I want and save it before you even have the time to read and/or remove my posting on your personal blog ... though!
2. I do not give a shit about Sutras; My brain somehow learned how to shut down at the first couple of lines -- Like, if it's obsolete and irrelevant for my day&age it's not worth the effort.
3. Intent: The more pus I can draw out from you the better ... serves my purpose quite well.
4. I didn't bring Das.Cult.Org into my household, I can thank that to somebody else.
5. Do us a favor: File a formal complaint with Google or whoever for my inappropriate behavior (swearing mainly) on tour blog! That would also suit me quite well since ASGPT don't have the balls to do it ... (you see how easy it is for one to put oneself on the "persecuted" side of things? All you have to do is piss-somebody-off big style!!)
6. As Vicious as you can get!
Why would I do that Pedro? Thanks to you, we have been able expound even a sentence or a phrase of the teaching. Regarding evolution and the similarities between the evangelicals and us, there really are none. They believe that evolution is a guided process through which God works. We believe it is a guided process through which cause and effect works. We are the agents of everything on heaven and earth. Those auks you speak of, through their cause of causing no harm and having suffered greatly will be reborn into more favorable and a more evolutionarily advanced condition. Those who mercilessly killed the auks while taking pleasure in their demise will be reborn into unfavorable and a more evolutionary retroregressed state.
Deleteyou are wrong pedro. ha, you came here by choice. shame on you.
ReplyDeleteShame fully and dully accepted Mr. faceless B for Blogger Greg Romero.
ReplyDeletebest wishes pedro. your right , i have lots of face.
