NATO and its allies have done a really good job of pissing off this strong and intelligent bear making him ferocious. He is now drawing his claws and baring his teeth in what may eventuate into one hell of a fight
Moreover, as the Ninno Sutra says, "When a nation becomes disordered, it is the spirits which first show signs of rampancy. Because the spirits become rampant, all the people of the nation become disordered."
Now if we examine the present situation carefully in the light of this passage, we will see that the various spirits have for some time been rampant, and many of the people have perished. If the first predicted misfortune in the sutra has already occurred, as is obvious, then how can we doubt that the later disasters will follow? If, in punishment for the evil doctrines that are upheld, the troubles that have yet to appear should fall upon us one after the other, then it will be too late to act, will it not?" Nichiren
Karmic forces can not be resisted. Thus, the Buddha said, “I cannot alter the Karma of sentient beings because the karma of sentient beings is as massive as Mount Sumeru.
Wars are primarily political but doctrine will creep in to the mix. If doctrine provides you with an ID, oh well! Dharma is actually simple, follow the golden rule.
the Buddha said, “thus I tell you, Sariputra.” “do not teach this Sutra to those without wisdom.”
Attached to the theoretical teachings, you fail to understand the teachings according to the times. Bodhisattva Never Despise taught the 24 Character Lotus Sutra during the time of Ionno Buddha to all men regardless of their capacity, arrogance, and indolence. The Former and Middle Days of the Law was the time for the peaceful practices propounded in Chapters 3 and 14 for example and by such men as Tientai and Dengyo. Our time is not unlike the time of Never Despise Bodhisattva. Since you don't have a good grasp of the eternity of life and the Dharmas, how could I expect you to understand?
Of course you would never quote a so called theoretical portion of the Lotus sutra to make your point. Only when your hypcricy is exposed, do you pull this "x" is superior "y" and "how could I possibly expect you to understand??
Those of sharp capabilities and wisdom Clearly understand the provisional and the true Learned and knowledgeable, They resolved to seek the fruit of Buddhahood they draw near all Buddhas and plant the roots of all virtues They give rise to firm aspirations, Thus they are unmoved by material desires People like this Can shoulder the burden of spiritual practice They accept it faithfully upon hearing it, so it is suitable to teach them.
Those of sharp capabilities and wisdom, can, upon hearing the Dharma instantly form their resolve. They understand that provisional teachings are part of the process and that there is a true diamond in provisional teachings. This makes them learned and knowledgeable.
They have their time and place as do all the 84,000 teachings. In the Former Day, the Buddha utilized the Hinayana Sutras to refute the non-Buddhist teachings and the Lower Correct and Equal Sutras to refute the Hinayana. In the Middle Day, he used the Wisdom Sutras to refute those of the Correct and Equal period and the Theoretical [provisional] half of the Lotus Sutra to refute his disciples attachments to the Wisdom Sutras. Today in the Latter Day the Buddha utilizes the Essential Teachings to refute his disciples attachments to the Theoretical Section of the Lotus Sutra. It is in this sense that we teach the profound principles of the Essential Teachings to all beings regardless of their capacity as did Bodhisattva Never Despise.
The Buddha used the Greater Vehicle to push those self complacent believers, Hearers and Solitary Realizers to go among sentient beings as Bodhisattvas. The Lotus Sutra was not first time he He predicted enlightenment for others.
Never-despising treated everyone with equal respect. The Buddha’s true wisdom is pervasive. He shares such ample principles, pointing out all kinds of examples for us and analyzing the workings of all matters and appearances, but what happens when we are still unable to comprehend them? Thus he had to use provisional wisdom and teach with skillful means. He had to spend a long time teaching according to sentient beings’ capabilities and nurturing those capabilities. Indeed he expended a lot of effort on this. This kind of wisdom, along with true wisdom. is called universal wisdom. One must be replete with the Tathagata’s true wisdom and provisional wisdom, and both must be in harmony, in order to become Honored sages who save the world among humans and heavenly beings. Only by following the principles of the Dharma can the Dharma become illuminating
There was a monk following a dharma master in the mountain. One day on their way back from collecting alms, they saw an old woman lying on the roadside. The master asked him to give all alms to her. He was not willing to obey. The master said, “Merit, virtue, life, and death are all in one thought-moment.” He didn’t understand. He told the master that he would give more of his belongs when he had more in the future. So he only gave half of their alms to the old woman. Many years later, he grew up and was in charge of the temple. His master gave him a sutra book before passing away. He continuously recited sutras for people, buying land and building temple. Gradually, he got old and ill. He remembered his master’s sutra book. He turned to one page of the sutra and saw: “Helping other people once is better than reciting the sutra ten years.” Then he realized the bad karma he created and how much he had wasted his life.
Only by following the principles of the Dharma which include continuously reciting the Lotus Sutra for people and one self can the Dharma become illuminating as is outlined in the 28th chapter of the Lotus Sutra (Encouragement of the Bodhisattva Universal Virtue) then helping other people and a myriad of life forms will be a natural process whether it happens in thought, word or deed is all good
